What we collect

When you fill in an estimate form or call us, we collect the information you choose to give: your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, and whatever you tell us about the work you want done.

Our website also collects basic technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the site that referred you. This comes from standard web server logs and any analytics we run.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare and send a written estimate, schedule and carry out work, invoice you, and contact you about a job in progress or a warranty question afterwards.

We also use aggregate technical information to understand which pages are useful and where the site is slow. That analysis is not tied back to individual people.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or pass it to lead-generation companies, marketing lists or other contractors.

We do not add you to a marketing mailing list because you requested an estimate. If we ever start a newsletter it will be opt-in.

Who else sees it

A small number of service providers process information on our behalf so the business can run: our estimate and job management software, our email provider, our website host, and our payment processing where applicable. They are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

The estimate form

Our estimate form is provided by Jobber, a job management platform. Information you submit through it is transmitted to and stored by Jobber on our behalf, subject to their own security practices and privacy terms.

Reviews shown on this site

Customer reviews displayed on this website are retrieved from our public Google Business Profile. We do not edit them, select favourable ones, or write them ourselves. The reviewer name and photograph shown are whatever that person has made public on their own Google account.

Maps

Map images on this site are static tiles served by CARTO using OpenStreetMap data. They are plain images rather than an interactive embed, so they do not track you or set cookies.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary ones required for the site to function, or first-party analytics used to measure page performance.

How long we keep it

Estimate enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for a reasonable period in case you come back to us, then deleted. Records relating to completed work are kept longer, because we need them for the workmanship warranty, for tax and accounting obligations, and in case a question arises about work we did.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will deal with the request. Where we are required to keep certain records for tax or legal reasons we will tell you.

You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will.

Children

This site is aimed at homeowners and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date below. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
